How do I put many screenshots in a bug report?

A good bug report shows every step: the page, the click, the error. Today that means a screenshot, a trip to the ticket, a paste and a trip back for each step, and the order slips.

Screenshots Clipboard is a Chrome and Edge extension that keeps every shot you take, so you pick the steps and paste them all into the ticket at once, in order. Free, or Plus for $2.99 a month or $19 a year.

Beta. Coming soon to the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons.

Bug reports are part of Plus.

Real recordings in Microsoft Edge, with the waiting cut out.

How it works

  1. Shoot each step

Click Visible or Area at each step of the bug. Each shot keeps the page’s title and address and the time you took it.

The Screenshots Clipboard popup with 12 shots, four of them picked and numbered 1 to 4, above the Make guide and Copy 4 buttons
  2. Mark what’s wrong

Open a shot in Edit and point at the problem with an arrow, a number or a text box.

The Edit studio over a shot of a product page, with numbers 1 and 2, an arrow and a note that says Price first, then Add to Chrome
  3. Paste the report

Pick the steps, press Copy and paste once into the ticket or email. With Plus, Make guide turns them into a Bug report PDF with the site, page, time and browser filled in.

What it can’t do

Where a tool takes only one picture per paste, your shots arrive stacked in one picture. To paste them one at a time, use Copy one by one.
